Idea for the back story...

A new line of robots has been released, the Nexus 6 series or something else random like that...

Although they functioned well at first, they developed catastrophic problems in their behaviour which resulted in the unpleasant deaths of several unsuspecting owners. The whole series was recalled, and all the units that where sold and then malfunctioned need to have their memories extracted and examined to try and work out what triggered the violent behaviour.

The sequences of images that are displayed on the monitors in the chamber will therefore finish with scenes of carnage.

I like Maciek's idea for the story and animation in the chamber, which is more important and this back story may not be necessary but it could also work with it quite well: when the surgeon breaks down for a minute, the Nexus 6 that is about to be 'examined' starts to wake up, eyes lighting up and mouth opening with a mechanical hiss and that sort of thing, and just when it looks like it's going to break free the surgeon starts up again and drills into it's brain.
